Showcase Games
College coaches want to see you play! Participate in competitive games with an emphasis on 11v11. Games will be coached by current college coaches. All games will be filmed so you have recent game footage to share with college coaches on your recruiting list.
Want to play soccer in college but don't know where to begin?
Come to Ventura County Fusion's College ID Camp on January 21, 2023 in beautiful Ventura, California. Here you will meet top college coaches and learn what they look for in prospective student-athletes. Our instructors will walk you and your family through the entire college recruitment process - from freshman to senior year of high school. Train with some of the best players in your region and see how you compare. At the end of the session, practice your media day skills with photos and interviews.
Who is the college ID Camp for?
Our camp is for the committed HS soccer player who desires to play college soccer. Coaches from Divisions 1-3, as well as NAIA, will be in attendance. This variety of coaches will help you discover which option is best for you. You will get specific feedback on what to improve and how to take your game to the next level. Along with drills led by the college coaches, showcase your knowledge and skills in the 11v11 games. Our three main areas for the session are drills, games, and a college recruitment classroom.
What should I bring?
Bring your ‘A’ game. College coaches want to see you if you can play in the 11v11 game. Coaches will be evaluating both the mental and physical aspect of your game. Water and soccer balls will be provided. All games will be recorded and access to video will be shared upon request.
As a parent, will I have a chance to ask questions?
Yes! We have a specific classroom portion of the day to cover everything you need to know about the college recruitment process. All players and parents are welcome to attend and encouraged to ask questions. A specific college recruitment roadmap will be shared and suggested for all players.
Is a college ID camp really worth attending?
Absolutely! Good information about college recruiting is hard to find. Our instructors are college coaches themselves, and know exactly the rules regarding recruitment. Unless you personally know a college coach, access to this kind of information is hard to find. The internet is not a reliable source of information for college recruitment.
