Jacob Hustedt had circled Thursday on his calendar, but not because of Major League Soccer's SuperDraft. The former Ventura County Fusion winger was allowed to shed his crutches and resume walking a little more than a month after breaking his leg on a 50-50 challenge with an on-rushing goalkeeper during a predraft workout with the San Jose Earthquakes.
The Fusion would like to congratulation Maya Antunez and Savana Gonzales for their selection to the Cal South Olympic Development Program 2011 Winter Pool. We wish them the best of luck as they train for a chance to play with the Cal South Regional team in Phoenix, Arizona.
